Essay

It has been determined the nucleotide sequence of 22551 NotI-linking clones and has been carried out the nucleotide sequence analyses of these clones. Three novel human genes have been identified using determined sequences of NotI-linking clones: potassium channel Kv1.7 gene, hUNC93 gene and kinase MLK4 gene. The isolation of cDNA and the determination of expression level in different tissues and chromosomal localization have been performed for each identified gene. It has been identified domains and motifs in the deduced amino acid sequences, corresponded to the isolated genes. Using the data concerning the function of corresponded homologues and orthologs, the role of gene products in the human organism has been predicted. The investigation of identified genes maybe important in case of some human pathological states because it has been predicted the important role in human organism for each of these identified genes.
