Vodolaz'ka N. Protolytic equilibria in micellar solutions of surfactants

Objects of investigation: Indicator dyes and surfactants. Aim of investigation: Systematic and versatile study of surfactant micelles as medium for acid-base and ion-exchange reactions. Methods: Spectrophotometry accompanied by pH-measurements. During comprehensive study of direct micelles of surfactants as a medium for acid-base and ion-exchange processes, the limits of validity of the classical model for protolytic equilibria in micellar solutions are stated. New ways of impact on protolytic equiliria of indicator dyes in various micellar systems are found. Degree of application: Using of the obtained set of equilibria parameters and spectral characteristics, as well as revealed regularities for the micellar microenvironments impact in colloid chemistry, bio- and photochemistry.
