Essay

The estimate of the pollution of northern districts of Rivne region by 137Cs as a result of Chernobyl disaster has been done. The migration of radionuclides in the chain "soil - forage - milk " is being studied. On the basis of data of many years' research the ratio of the decrease of gross content of 137Cs on lands of different use during twelve-year period is investigated. Methods of the assessment of the radioactive safety of polluted territories of Rivne and Zhytomyr regions are suggested taking into account the relationship of lands of different use.
