Object of the research - light transmission properties of fiber waveguide; subject of the research - mathematical models that describe the influence of geometrical, optical and mechanical properties of fiber waveguide on its light transmission parameters; methods of the research - methods of Maxwell's electromagnetic theory, theory of difference schemes and operator's transformation; aim of the research - elaboration of mathematical models and algorithms, methods and software to model the propagation of waves in the fiber-optical waveguides (FOW) in the field of multiple influence factors taking into consideration a possibility of a simultaneous influence of several factors; theoretical and practical results -new general mathematical model of the fiber-optical waveguide with variable dialectrical permeability, new model of calculation of influence factors in the optical parameters of FOW, the ways of description of mathematical model of influence factors using operator's equations, new methods and software to model FOW with certain parameters taking into consideration multiple influence factors; the degree of the application of the achievements is laid in the corresponding area; the area of usage - the elaboration of measuring devices.
