The aim of the thesis is to develop the new trend of shock-absorbing landing gear system design subject to controlled dissipation of potential energy of main landing gear tire as well as nose landing gear tire during backward absorbing period. The basic theoretical evidence is validated by pile-driving test of full-scale shock-absorbing systems. The challenging range of application of shock-absorbing landing gear systems is transport airliners of III ICAO Operational Performance Category
