Bevz H. Social-psychological factors of emergence and development of a foster family

The thesis considers social-psychological factors of emergence and development of a foster family phenomenon as a form of state foster care of children deprived of parental care. On the basis of integration approach which includes the notion "individual-system" it studies reasons of motivation of people who decide to help orphans adopting them. Taking into account social-psychological conditions of life in the modem society, the motives of making (not making) a decision to create a foster family by candidates were determined as well as possible changes in motivation at all stages of foster family formation: introductory-information, preparatory, the forming and functioning stages and that of professional growth. Much attention is paid to the necessity of taking into account the interaction of all components of the foster family process: the state and peculiarities of foster family functioning as a system; social-psychological characteristics of adoptive children; qualitative characteristics of social accompaniment of the foster family; the closest surroundings of the foster family and the social policy of the state.
