Romanova V. Peculiarities of teenager's gender-and-role socialization.

The author investigates the peculiarities of teenagers' gender identity forming and analyses socio-cultural factors of this process. The teenager's group is considered as a bearer of gender subculture and a factor of the forming of mature gender identity. The following characteristics of mature gender identity are analyzed: presence of hetero-sociality, correspondence between biological sex and gender role, personality's adaptation to transformations of society gender culture. The tendency is shown, in to-day forming of teenager's' gender identity, of reorientation from stereotype and traditional male-female roles to androgynous gender ones. The mature gender identity is shown to be formed as an androgynous type of personality.
