Essay

The problem of increasing the efficiency of agglomerating manganese ores and producing manganese ferroalloys processes is resolved in the paper. It is carried out the theoretical and experimental investigations of influencing manganese ores types and quality on metallurgical properties (reducing degree, electroresistance, strength, hardening, etc.) of agglomerate. It is derived and applied optimal values of technological parameters of manganese ores sintering process, technologies of increasing agglomerate quality by recristalization annealing and hardening agglosinter. It is carried out industrial tests of hardening agglomerate for producing ferrosilicomanganese in the electric furnace, which are shown the its process efficiency - specific consumption of energy cost and raw materials were decreased. Besides it has positive effect on the environment.
