Essay

The dissertation deals with cutting of sprayed wear-resistant coatings having an amorphous-crystalline structure (CACS). A methodological approach has been developed, which allows, based on the preliminary information on heterogeneous structure of the workpiece material, the prediction of the achievement of the required parameters of the surface roughness and the cutting tool life. A criterion has been suggested for limitation of turning CACS. The optimal conditions of turning CACS have been developed, at which the highest cutting tool life, the lowest parameters of the machined surface roughness and the maintenance of the initial amorphous phase content of coatings can be achieved
