Tkachenko T. Introduction of the Myrtaceae Juss. family in conservatories of Ukraine

The thesis is dedicated to the study of biological, morphological, ecological and peculiarities of the representatives from the Myrtaceae Juss family. The original data on the growth investigation and the development of Myrtaceae vegetative sphere, on flowering and fruitage dynamics, seed and vegetative propagation, researches of the initial stages of ontogenesis in the representatives of the Myrtaceae family and also on phytoncide properties are presented. The integral assesment of myrtaceae that undervent the initial trial under the conditions of conservatories was performed for the first time. On the basis of the researches conducted 6 representatives of the Myrtaceae were selected and recommended for phytodesign in Ukraine, among them a species Syzygium paniculatum Banks ex. Gaerth little-known in Ukraine. The practical guidelines on maintenance and of growing of the plants under consideration were developed. For the first time for the introduction prognostication under the conditions of conservatories there was employed a comparative analysis of climatic peculiarities of the Myrtaceae in their natural range (on the basis of botanical-and-geographical demarcation of the Earth) and the conditions of conservatories of home and foreign botanical gardens.
