Essay

Compoundings of general designation foam concentrates and also foam concentrates suitable for using with seawater have been developed. The bases of those foam concentrates are alpha olefin sulfonates and bi-sodium salts of monoesters of sulphoamber acid. One of the foam concentrates has been introduced into industrial production. 10 foam concentrates of "AFFF" type produced abroad and in Ukraine have been investigated and methods of determination of their quality performance have been worked through and introduced by way of working out of a State standard of Ukraine. Conditions of the most effective using of general and special assignment foam concentrates for fire extinguishing have been revealed and normative documents as to their transportation, storing, testing and using technologies have been worked out.
