The dissertation is devoted to studying the high temperature electrochemical synthesis of refractory metals diboride from molten salts. The possibility of synthesis of diborides was studied by thermodynamic calculation, voltammetry and electrolysis. Titanium diboride protective coatings has been deposited by electrochemical synthesis from the system Na3AlF6-Al4B2O9-CaTiO3.
