Essay

The thesis deals with the study of the activation energy of stages of the copper electrodeposition process. It has been found that in a simple sulfate electrolyte, the activation energies of the anodic and cathodic process are equel. In a complex pyrophosphate electrolyte, the reaction rate is strongly dependent on the concentration of the pyrophosphate ions. The surfactants form an additional potential barrier to the discharge of hydrated copper ions.
