The study is devoted to actual medical problem - correction of disorders in the lung surfactant system and in the lung tissue in the case of acute pneumonia, which develops on the base of the chronic alcoholic intoxication. The light, electronic (transmissional and scanning) microscopy investigations and biochemical and physical and chemical methods have been used. According to the data given by the author the disorders of surface-active properties of endogenic pulmonary surfactant progress with the increasing of duration of alcoholic intoxication. That's why the disorders in the pulmonary surfactant system can be defined as one of the basic pathogenic links in the development of pneumonia on the background of chronic alcoholic intoxication. The usage of replacing surfactant therapy in complex with antibacterial treatment of pneumonia on the background of chronical alcoholic intoxication with the purpose of correction of disorders in the system of pulmonary surfactant's system leads to fuller and quicker decreasing in inflammatory changes in the lung, restoration of ultrastructures of injured components of air-blood barrier and stabilization of surface-active properties of pulmonary surfactant. Preventive injection of exogenetic surfactant on the background of chronic alcoholic intoxication doesn't prevent from the development of inflammation in the lungs and doesn't influence protectively on the air-blood barrier components.
