Research subjects: woody deciduous plants, introduced into the south-east of Ukraine. Research objectives: investigation of the regeneration capacity and stem-cutting of the introduced arboreous deciduous plants with the purpose of developing the biotechnological methods and concluding as for the prospects of their mass propagation. Methods: methods of studying the woody plants regeneration capacity, effect of the growth stimulators on the rhizogenesis process in stem cuttings, morphogenesis of adventitious roots and anatomic-and-physiological methods of callus-and rhizogenesis research, etc. Theoretical and practical results: the efficient techniques of accelerated propagation of the valuable introduced arboreous deciduous plants has been elaborated, the perspective of their stem-cutting for the use in the basic and additional assortments in production has been scientifically substantiated. The assortment is enriched and the new highly ornamental, fruit, smoke- and gas-tolerant plants are introducedinto the greenery planting in the Ukrainian south-east. Based on the research materials there have been worked out and issued the guidelines that are passed to the specialiststs in nurseries, silverculture and horticulture amarteurs to be used it in the course of their work. Novelty of introduced: regeneration capacity of 70 species, forms amd varieties of the introduced woody deciduous plants has been studied and the methods of their accelerated propagation has been devised for the first time taking into account their growth and development biomorphologic perculiarities. The species investigated are divided into four groups according to their regeneration capacity, that is the basis for determining the assortment of the arboreous plants for their accelerartion propagation.The optimum terms for cutting and types of cuttings has been defined. For the first time the scantily distributed in the region woody plants, perspective in terms of mass propagation by stem-cutting, are determined. Implementation degree: more then 300 thousand self-root plants of 28 scantily distributed species has been introduced into production and urban forestry for popularization of the introduced arboreous deciduous plants and their trials under the south-eastern Ukraine's different anthropogenously transformed environments Effectiveness:scientific background of the technology of the accelerated propagation allow to intencify the cultivation of the planting material of the most deserving plants within the period of 6-12 months Sphere, sector of implementation: industrial botany, urban forestry, silviculture, specialists training.
