Mitina L. Introduction of Morus alba L selection forms in the south-east of Ukraine

The thesis is devoted to defining Morus alba L. high-productive fruit-forms, grounding on the studies of its bioecologic, anatomic-and-morphologic and bioeconomic peculiarities, held on basis of collection of Donetsk botanical gardens, NASU. A collection of fruit mulberry has been amassed in Ukraine for the first time, the complex introduction analysis of Morus alba species has been performed, the distinctions in ontogenesis and morphogenetic have been fixed between introduced plants and those of natural ecotopes. The data of cytological, paly-nologic, and morphogenetic investigations have been obtained that can be used in systematics and studyng the influence of adaptation upon onto-and-morphogenesis. An optimum efficient technology of sorts vegetative propagation has been worked out. Guidelines on fruit mul-berry cultivation have been issued. As a result of the introduction trail higly productive selection Morus alba forms adapted to the local condi-tions have been determined. It is for the first time in Ukraine that deserving M. alba fruit forms have been distinguished and described, on the basis of which 3 large-fruit sorts, characterized by high gustatory qualities, have been selected.
