Essay

The dissertation is devoted to theoretical research of electromagnetic forces influence on hydrodynamic and heattransfer in oxygen converter bath. The paper deals with a problem of developing a mathematical model for convective heat transfer in melting mass, taking account of impact of a gas jet and MHD-effects connected with passing the electric current through the melting bath. As a result, there are determinate the regularities of the impact exerted by electric current and the bottom electrode structural scheme on the motion melted mass in the melted bath.
