The thesis is dedicated to development of new finish face milling cutter for finish machining of hardened cast-iron and steel parts. The main kinematic parameters of process of stepped milling with using of slanting-angle geometry of cutting elements were analyzed. The process of face milling with combined cutting schemes was studied. On its basis the guidelines are designed to definition of optimal geometrical parameters of face milling cutters with combined cutting schemes and cutting mode when machining of hardened cast-iron and steel parts
