Stesсhyn I. Artistic reveal of feminist idea in the newest British and Ukrainian prose (A. Carter, O. Zabuzhko).

Object: novels of British writer A.Carter "The Passion of New Eve", "The Infernal Desire Machines of Doctor Hoffman", collection of tales "The Bloody Chamber" and novel of Ukrainian writer O. Zabuzhko "Field research on Ukrainian sex", social journalism. Purpose: to define the tendencies of Ukrainian and British women' literature development, to determine distinguishing features of feminist ideas' realisation of its two representatives. Methods: genetic-historical, comparatively-typological, psychoanalytic, structuraliztic-linguistic, feminist critics. Results: for the first time A. Carter's novels were compared with O. Zabuzhko's novels on problematic-thematic and poetic levels.
