Essay

The analytic model for calculation of cutting process with the tools with wear-resistant coatings and determination of plastic deformation parameters, contact tensions, temperatures and heat flows both on tool surfaces have been created. Methods for consideration of adhesion properties of contacting materials influence on plastic zone dimensions at front tool surface have been developed. The method of strengths and friction coefficient determination at back tool surface has been formulated. The coatings’ influence on tool wear process has been researched, and simplified techniques for determination of friction coefficient at back cutting-tool surface have been suggested. The methods of model’s practical use for cutting modes determination for cyclic restitution of wear-resistant fragmental structures at contact surface layer of tools have been cited.
