Essay

The thesis is devoted to investigation of non-linear dynamics of surface waves in the fluid of constant finite depth and covered by floating ice. A theoretical model of the propagation of the gravity waves of small but finite amplitude is developed basing on the asymptotic method of mul-tiscale expansions. The dependence of disturbance amplitude-phase structure on the basin's depth, ice thickness and its vertical acceleration's non-linearity, wave harmonic's frequency and steep-ness, is investigated. An analysis of the ice effect on the non-linear mass' transport is carried out.
