Regularities of tribotechnical characteristics alternation of fraction pairs "steel-wood" according to the instrumental material surface strengthening methods, test conditions (velocity, load), wood type, its humidity, friction vector. New eutectic electrode material on the basis of iron for coating application by complex electrosparking alloyage and laser process was developed. Regressive models of cutting velocity and load impact on strengthened woodcutting instrument deterioration intensity were introduced.
