Object of researches - design data of a cutting lamina and response curves of modular cutoff blades. The purpose of activity - increase of enhancement of efficiency of modular cutting-off blades by determining rational design parameters of a cutting plate and improvement of its mount rigidity providing improvement of productivity and lowering the cost price of cutting operations. Methods of researches: a finite element method and analytical simulation. As a result of researches the guidelines are offered at the choice of rational design data and form of cutting laminas of cutoff blades. On the basis of an offered mathematical model of a technological system "the machine tool - appliance - the tool - part", which one allows for a design of the modular tool as a system consisting of separate interdependent members, the way of forecasting of a failure mode of the tool on a design stage is offered. On the basis of analytical and experimental researches the new design of a modular cutoff blade for high-gravity machine tools and guideline of its exploitation is designed. The chisel is protected by the patent and is inserted in an industry in conditions OJSC "KZTS". The field - Heavy Machine-building.
