Non-homogeneous Cd(x)Hg(1-x)Te (CMT) n-type crystals with x = 0.2. Ascertaining the dominating mechanisms of ingomogeneities formation and their role in formation of crys-tal photoelectric properties. Methods of structural and chemical analyses, electrophysical and photoelectrical measurements, quantitative analysis and model calculations using PC. For the first time, revealed is the process of formation of inhomogeneities via point defect transport enhanced by internal elastic stresses; found are the dominating mechanisms of their influence on crystal photoelectric properties. It is concluded that application of the results is reasonable at enterprises of photoelectronic device design and construction and materials science.
