Essay

Thesis is devoted to carbide tool efficiency rise by volume modeling its thermostrength. At the first time the three dimensional thermostrength and nonlinear temperature model has been developed for a cutting tool on the base og FEM while it entering, machining and leaving workpiecies. At the first time it has been proved that only simultaneous action of thermal and volume contact loads could present the real thermostrength distribution into a cutting tool and close connected with cutting tool wear. Therefore a cutting tool thermostrength determination has permitted both a cutting tool breakage prediction with any geometrical parameters and it better coating type. The proposed volume thermostrength model has risen carbide tool cutting efficiency because their reliability improvement as well as tool life increasing especially under proposed cutting tool entering conditions.
