Essay

Photocatalytic activity of cadmium sulfide and zinc, titanium, iron oxide nanoparticles in the buthyl-methacrylate photopolymerization process has been investigated. The possibility of the extention of spectral sensitivity range of photopolymerization systems based on ZnО nanoparticles through sensitization with fluorescein and a series of its halogen derivatives has been investigated. Sensitization mechanism has been examined, determining role of photoinduced electron transfer from excited dyes to ZnО nanoparticles conduction band in the photoinitiation of buthylmethacrylate polymerization has been elucidated.
