Essay

The object of the investigation: compensated converter system, including the converter transformer, 8 three-phase groups of power valves, 6 balancing reactors, 1 three-phase battery of commuting device capacitors. The purpose of the investigation: the development of theory of electromagnetic processes under different working regimes of compensated converter systems. Methods of investigation and equipment: differential equations theory, analytical, numeric methods. Theoretical and practical results and innovations: the physics of a regime of double commutation superposition through capacitors of a compensating device and operation conditions of the main equipment of a converting system in this mode have been discovered; service conditions of capacitor banks in the distributing network of an industrial enterprise have been investigated; the experimental data as regards indices of expediency of capacitor banks replacement according to the operational electric loss have been received, the mathematical andcircuit models of converters have been made. The degree of implementation: the methodical basis has used by the capacitor devices' reconstruction at Sumy plant "Nasosenergomash", by educational process. The sphere of application: industrial enterprises, research institutes.
