Essay

Xerophytic grassy vegetation. To make a detail ecology-phytosociological characteristic of xerophytic grassy plant communities by Western Forest-Steppe of Ukraine, with development of their syntaxonomy and substantiation of the protection. The methods used: geobotanical, Braun-Blanquet's method of classification, ecology-phytosociological, morphometrical, froristic-geographical. By the Braun-Blanquet's method the syntaxonomy was developed and syntaxa were described. The ecobiomorphological analysis of flora of the orders is carried out according to the V.Holubev's system of the biomophs. The character of distribution of the species requiring protection within syntaxa was established. The parameters of vitality are described and the condition of rare dominants coenopopulations is estimated. The sphere of use are geobotany and nature protection management.
