Essay

A remarkable positive effect of small irradiation doses has been observed in CdTe and CdTe:Cl single crystals. It manifests in a substantial increase (up to 4 times) of the integral intensity of photoluminescence lines of exiton-impurity complexes at low-dose irradiation. Annealing of CdTe:Cl samples at temperatures more than 180 C leads to decrease chlorine centres. The determination of mechanizms of defect-impurity complexes transformation under such treatments was observed.
