Essay

The object of the research is cutting instrument of multilayered design. The aim of the work is the efficiency improvement of multilayered instrumental ceramic plates of group P10 usage for improved and tempered sorts of steel and highly strengthened cast iron processing. Theoretical research and practical recommendations elaboration were conducted on the basis of physical laws, cutting theory, material conducting and the theory of cutting instrument design. Experimental research was conducted using up-to-date instruments and highly precision measuring tools followed by results processing with the help of modern electronic computers. The design of multilayered plate "ceramic-hard alloy" being worked out considering thermal tension coefficients of components and thermal-mechanical compatibility of layers with their geometry parameters optimization. Recommendations on diamond grinding of composition plates and their effective usage in the production are worked out. The results of the work are introducedat the Ukrainian machine-building enterprises. The sphere of use is instrumental production and metal processing.
