Essay

Dissertation includes the thyroid gland (ThG) follicular tumours complex study results among Kiev population within "post-Chernobyl" period. Probable factors of ThG cancerogenesis after radioiodine incorporation were systematized. Indicative changes in ThG pathology qualitative and quantitative characteristics were revealed in Kyivits after the Chernobyl disaster enabling to qualify that as pathomorphosis manifestation. Hypothetic schemes of follicular cell transformations induced by incorporated emitters and vascular-stromal components pathological reactions development in ThG are presented. Intraoperative diagnostics and fine-needle aspiration biopsy methods information value is estimated. Diagnostic algorithm is worked out with recommendations substantiation for optimization of curative-prophylactic approach.
