Essay

The objects are the ecological functions of anthropogenic and natural-anthropogenic soils of urbanized and man-caused landscapes of Roztochia-Opillia. The aim is to find out the directions of changes and forming the soils cover of the anthropogenic landscapes of Roztochia-Opillia. Methods of the soils and biogeocenological researches, methods of statistical processing of results. By the example of urbanized and man-caused landscapes of Roztochia-Opillia region, the peculiarities of forming and functioning of anthropogenic and natural-anthropogenic soils have been studied. Their potential to fulfill ecological functions has been fixed. The structural organization of soil cover of man-caused landscapes of Roztochia-Opillia has been presented in the chart. Techno-grounds predominate in the soil cover of mining and industrial landscapes; urban grounds and urban soils predominate in urban landscapes. Physicochemical and water-physical characteristics of soils that were formed because of the predomination of man-caused or urban (residential and recreational) factors of soil forming have been studied. It was found out that the activity of microbiotic component of changed soils is mostly determined by their ecological-functional condition. Spiral-fluctuating tendency of development of bio-complexes has been discovered on basis of analysis of functional microbiotic parameters. The directions of optimization and renovation of ecological functions of anthropogenic soils that form two vectors aimed either at the self-renovation of the functions or at the renovation of the functions by means of an additional interference of man. Spheres of use are the soils-ecological monitoring, recultivation and optimization of the soil's ecological functions.
