Hamor A. Cerasus avium (L.) Moench in Ukrainian Carpathians: morphological-biological peculiarities and distribution.

Dissertation is devoted to the complex study of morphological-biological distribution of C. avium in the Ukrainian Carpathians specificity of the distribution and ecological and phytocenotic features are elucidated. It is established that in the Ukrainian Carpathians C. avium grows mainly in the forests of south-western slopes. The initial stages of C. avium ontomorphogeny were investigated. The variability of the essential morphometric characters is defined. The dependence of development of C. avium vegetative and reproductive organs from growing in different vertical belts was studied. The rythms of C. avium seasonal development under the influence of ecological conditions were observed. Our results concerning to C. avium have to the used for reconstruction of C. avium natural populations and their conservation in local genofund 7 C. avium genetic reservations are proposed to be created in the Carpathian Region.
