Essay

Modern diagnostic methods of the charged particle beams. The development of theoretical and experimental methods for parameter definition of the ion bunches, the investigation of inner beam processes in accelerators. Methods of researches are the analytical and numerical modeling of physical processes, the experimental measurements on diagnostic equipments. The advanced technique for measurement of the emittance parameters has been developed, the new approach for electric field structure definition of the beam with a space charge has been offered, the new experimental and theoretical methods to account the own space charge effect of the ion bunches and its partial neutralization due to capture the particles of the ionized residual gas have been developed. The new technique of emittance definition and the corresponding software have been tested successful on the diagnostic equipment at the center of nuclear physics at GSI (Darmstadt, Germany). Using the developed methods for accounting of secondary processes has enabled to predict theoretically the experimental data distortions during profile measurements on the diagnostic monitors at GSI, which give the possibility to reduce a necessary time for adjustment of the diagnostic equipment. The fields of using are diagnostic of the high-intensity beam parameters in accelerators and experimental nuclear physics.
