Essay

Electron states in a one-dimensional quantum ring are studied with taking into account the external magnetic flux, the axially-symmetric nuclear polarization field and the spin-orbit interaction. Time evolution of the electronic states and of the transport current in the nuclear-spin-polarization-induced quantum wire are calculated. The influence of the quantum effective potential, which depends on the curvature of a quantum wire, on the description of its conducting properties is studied. The stationary Josephson effect is studied for the point contact between f-wave superconductors.
