Objects: magnetic vortices in spin plaquettes and quasi-1D models. Goals: comparison of the vortex solution properties with the data for 2D large size systems, investigate the vortex eigen-excitations, analyze the resonances which arise under the action of a circular field. Methods: formulation of simple mod-els for the discrete systems; investigations of the vortex struc-ture within those models, dynamics of vortices, eigenmodes and switching in the external field; comparison of the results with the known data of the numerical simulations of large size system New results: Two type of models for the analytical description of the vortex properties were proposed; the appro-priateness of these for the qualitative analytical description of the vortex properties was proved. Predicted a new phenome-non: the creation of the bound state of vortex and spin wave. The influence of the circular magnetic field upon the different symmetry modes for the system containing the vortex is ana-lyzed. Firstly proved thatsuch a field excites mainly the unho-mogeneous modes. Also the explanation for the effects, which were obtained while simulating numerically the switching process in the large size system, was given.
