Essay

The dissertation is devoted to complex research of representativity of the network of forest objects of natural reserved fund of the western region of Ukraine, development of scientific bases of its optimization. Methods of research: standard forestical, geographical, geobotanical, floristic, statistical. For the first time it investigated categorial and territorial structure of the network of forest objects of natural reserved fund of the western region of Ukraine. The estimation of representativity is given. For optimization of the regional network of forest reserved objects it is recommended to develop it in the direction of representativity increase. It is necessary to increase the protection parameter of natural landscapes of Western Ukraine Forest-steppe zone and to level it in the Ukrainian Carpathians. It is necessary to expand the network of forest reserved objects at the expence of the territories with forest natural complexes which are not protected yet, or represented there insufficiently.It is necessary to better protect forest communities with rich flora, complex structure and natural contents of species. They should be represented by multilayer stands of senior age, higher efficiency and competeness. It is developed practical recommendations on optimization of a regional network of wood reserved objects of region which Ministry of ecological resources of Ukraine is transferred for introduction to the Government of a reserved affair, to the Government of ecology and natural resources in the Ivano-Frankovsk area. By results of work on it is created landscape reserve "Grof's" nation-wide value (the Decree of the President of Ukraine № 715/96 from 20.08.96).
