Betliy O. Ukrainian question in the international affairs of Central Europe, 1919-1923.

The thesis is the first attempt of a comparative research of this issue in Ukraine and abroad. For better knowledge of the problem as a whole the models of Polish-Ukrainian and Czechoslovak-Ukrainian relations are taken. The thesis is based on Ukrainian and foreign historiography, archival and published documentary sources. It specifies the history of diplomatic and economic relations and analyses different factors influencing the foreign policy of Czechoslovakia and Poland concerning the Ukrainian People's Republic (1919-1920) and the Ukrainian Socialist Soviet Republic (1921-1923). The author suggests new concepts of studding policies of Czechoslovakia and Poland concerning Ukraine.
