Vladzymyrskyy A. The treatment of the injured with multiple and combined traumas on pre-hospital and hospital stage using telemedical systems.

The thesis concerns the important and urgent problem in modern traumatology and orthopedics, namely the improvement of the results of treatment for the injured with multiple and combined trauma, systematizing of the theoretic basis of telemedicine and elaboration of the telemedical systems. The work helped to formulate the indications to the use of telemedical distant consulting in traumatology and orthopedics. The study of the organization of medical aid on the pre-hospital stage defined a number of the problems; and in order to find the way to solve them, we elaborated three types of pre-hospital telemedical (based on the use of the beeper, mobile phone and Palm computer) and tested them in the experiment. By creating a computer model it was proved, that the telemedical system, based on the Palm computer, and the standard of coding and transmission of medical information, suggested in the given work.
