3. The objekt is procaryotic serine and leucine tRNAs; the aims to deretmine similarities and differences in the tertiary structure of serine and leucine tRNAs from T. thermophilus and to define contact sites of these tRNAs with their cognate aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases; the methods are rapid gel-sequencing of tRNA and chemical modification methods; the new approach lies in investigation of tertiary structure of serine and leucine tRNAs from T. thermophilus and their complexes with cognate aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases in solution; the main include determination of phosphates and bases, wich participate in the tertiary folding of serine and leucine tRNAs from T. thermophilus, a different orientation of the long variable arm in serine and leucine tRNAs has been shown and the differences in the core triplets structure have been shown too, serine tRNA was found to interact with seryl-tRNA synthetase by the long variable arm, but leucine tRNA was found to interact with leucyl-tRNA synthetase by phosphatesof tertiary core nucleotides; the field - study of structural basis of recognition of the II klass tRNAs by aminoacyl-tRNA synthetases
