Investigation objects: dissimilar associates of cyanine dyes with organic counterions. Purpose: The factors inluencing in the most degree on the dissimilar ionic association between ions of cyanine dyes with organic counterions in aqueous solutions will be deteremined. Methods: absorption spectroscopy (visible spectral range). The correlation of stability of associates with structural characteristics of a counterion (a enthalpy of hydration, a index of hydrophobicity) has been established. The mechanism of destruction action of ionogeneous surfactants on dissimilar associates are determined and anaysed. Outlook to use of established conformity to natural laws for elaborate of new methods of quantitative phisics-chemical determination have been shown. Degree of application: prediction of an dissimilar association's capability of cyanine dyes in aqueous solutions. The method of quantitative determination of cationic surfactants has been elaborated.
