Essay

Object of studies: near-Earth space, particularly upper at-mosphere and ionosphere of the Earth. Goal of studies: determination of main characteristics of distur-bance of upper atmosphere of the Earth over ground-based sources of energy (earthquakes) for the improvement of existing models of seismo-ionosphere connections. Method of studies: statistical method of epoch superposition, direct analysis of individual events and numerical modeling. Scientific novelty of studies. First it has been found an influence of earthquakes onto temperature and thermosphere circulation from satellite measurements. First it has been obtained a re-sponse in the critical frequency of F2 layer on an earthquake at analysis of ion-probe observations over Yakutsk. Using the new observational result it has studied the seismic effects in bright-ness of discrete forms of aurora. For the explanation of the ob-tained results it has been proposed the conception of intensifica-tion of the turbulence at heights of mesopause and lowerthermo-sphere. Degree of implementation: planned. Area (branch) of implementation: The results of the work can be used during preparation of new satellite projects and ground-based experiments for seismo-ionospheric monitoring.
