Essay

The work is devoted to experimental and theoretical studying mass, momentum, and energy transfer processes in two-phase flows. Based on the results of experimental investigations of droplet interaction with a wall, gas flow, and themselves, we obtained new empirical formulas that describe these phenomena for a wide range of hydrodynamic conditions. We developed a new model of turbulent gas-droplet flow with regard for the effect of aerodynamic forces and turbulence on coalescence processes.
