Essay

The object of study - liver of rats. The aim of study is the investigation of particularity of different chemical nature hemolytic agents action on activity of key heme biosynthesis enzyme - 5-aminolevulinate synthase and content of some hemoproteines in rat liver. Methods - biochemical: determination of enzyme activity, differential spectrophotometry, differential centrifugation, and determination of protein content. Is shown that an increase of 5-aminolevulinate synthase activity is one of the reasons of free heme accumulation in rat liver under action of cadmium cloride, mercury cloride, phenylhydrazine and glycerol. The increase of 5-aminolevulinate synthase activity may be linked with degradation of main hemoprotein of liver - cytochrome P-450 under action of cadmium and mercury salts and phenylhydrazine. Field of application - scientific institutions of a biological and medical profile, because the results of research can be used in development of methods of correction metabolism under poisons of heavy metal salts; in educational process on biochemistry and pharmacology.
