Essay

The object of investigation- gamma C domain of fibrinogen. The aim of work-to identify a sequence within gamma C, that mediates binding of fibrinogen and platelet integrins.Methods: fibrin clot retraction, platelet adhesion, peptide synthesis, synthesis of recombinant protein, chromatography. Gamma 370-383 (P3) is a new binding site for integrins alfa (IIb) beta (3) and alfa (5) beta (1) .There are 4 critical amino acid residues within P3 Lys 373, Arg 375, Lys 380, Lys 381. The site for integrin alfa (IIb) beta (3) in the gamma C domain of fibrinogen is complex and is formed by the gamma 408-411 and gamma 370-383. Field of application: design of new medications.
