Essay

The dissertation is dedicated to the improvement of fuel efficiency and harmful emissions reduction in petrol engined cars under operating conditions by means of control parameters optimization as frequency of rotation and opening of throttles. Mathematical model for fuel efficiency and ecological indexes determination in the process of speeding-up and in other city driving cycle modes has been improved and used to investigate the influence of control parameters variations upon the car operating indexes. Appropriate software to investigate the influence of control parameters variations upon fuel efficiency and toxicity in the process of speeding-up and during the whole driving cycle has been worked out. On the grounds of the refined mathematical model a technique of determination of above mentioned parameters for a motor car ЗАЗ-1102 with petrol engine MeMЗ-245 under operating conditions has been developed. Optimum car control parameters for the process of speeding-up have been determined. A design ofa device for optimum motor car control is offered. Road test with the observance of offered optimum parameters in speeding-up mode have been carried out.
