Essay

The work is devoted to study of an optical irradiation influence to domain structure state of a photoanisotropic magnetically ordered medium. The results of investigation of a photoinduced (induced by the linearly polarized optical radiation) rearrangement of the domain structure during a photoinduced spin - reorientation transition in single (110)-crystals of ferrite - garnets are presented. The kinetics of a photoinduced magnetic defect and area with a metastable state of a magnetization is described. The stages (formation and growth of a nucleus and photoinduced areas) of the photoinduced domain structure rearrangement are experimentally investigated and described depending on a initial state, materials properties and irradiation conditions of the medium. The limiting existences conditions of the photoinduced spin - reorientation transition in the uniformly magnetized medium volume are established. The capability of photoinduced changes of the medium nucleation field is experimentally demonstrated.
