The sugar beet subcomplex of the agro-industrial complex. Analysis of the development of modern Ukrainian theories, the state of reforming and restructuring of the sugar beet subcomplex and the essence of the production potential; development of methods of planning and a system of economical and mathematical models of formation in uncertain conditions and use of the production potential of sugar beet cooperatives, grounding of the strategic and economic expediency of the production of beet sugar in Ukraine and strengthening of its marketability on the world market. The paper contains main results of the research into theoretical and practical aspects of evaluation, optimization and use of the production potential of sugar beet enterprises. Considerable potential possibilities of increasing the production of sugar and its economic efficiency and marketability on the world market are identified in the paper.
