Essay

Trilayer film structure transition/nonmagnetic/rare earth metal. Study the nature of exchange coupling in trilayer film structure between layers of transition and rare earth metals separated by nonmagnetic metal spacer. Magnetooptic, magnetotransport, magnetoresonance methods and structural studies. In trilayer film structure the state of ferromagnetic coupling between layers of iron and terbium was reached due to indirect exchange interactions. Hall-like effect at zero applied external magnetic field was discovered in such film structures. The origin of this effect was explained on the basis of spin-dependent transport. Field of application - nanoelectronics and spintronics.
