Investigation Subject is electrochemical system represent a Zn electrode in zincate electrolyte with additive ДХТИ-160 (polymers on basis of N, N-dimethyl-N, N-diallylammonium chloride). The aim of work is ascertainment of peculiarities of electrode processes, which conditioned by presence of colloidal zinc-containing particles in zincate electrolytes. Investigation Methods: voltammetry, impedance, coulometry, potentiometry, ultramicroscopy, turbidimetry, electrophoresis, X-ray diffraction, photometry, polarography. It was shown that the colloidal particles form during the zincate electrolyte preparation as well as during the electrodeposition. The low quality of electroplating is related to coagulation of metallic zinc sol and zinc oxide on electrode surface. The additive ДХТИ-160 was ascertained to adsorb on the colloid aggregates and stabilize the dispersible systems. Thus this addition has positive influence on the structure of the zinc electrodeposits.The new electrolytes for obtaining of zinc plating doped with tin and titan and anodic passivation in alkaline solutions instead of chromic passivation was developed in this work.
